Thursday was already going to be a great day — we were celebrating National Teach Ag Day — but it was made even better with a major announcement that will benefit FFA and agricultural education for years to come.
CHS, a global agribusiness involved in energy, grains and foods owned by U.S. farmers, ranchers and cooperatives, announced during National Teach Ag Day celebrations in Minneapolis a substantial, multi-year gift to the National FFA Foundation.

The gift totals $1.5 million over a three-year period and is intended to support FFA, the National Teach Ag Campaign and Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE).
CHS has supported the National Teach Ag Campaign since 2011 because it knows of the need to raise awareness that we need more agricultural educators. The campaign also celebrates the efforts made by current agricultural educators in their classrooms everyday.
The agreement also allocates funds to the National FFA Foundation to promote three proficiency areas (Agricultural Processing, Diversified Crop Production and Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management), the Environmental Science and Natural Resources Career Development Event and My Journey/Ag Career Network.
