Case IH Continues Long-Standing Support of FFA

We’re excited to present this special guest post from Curtis Goettel who designed Case IH’s amazing “Red Power” skid steer!

My name is Curtis Goettel, and I’m the lead designer of Case IH’s “Red Power” skid steer. This is a one-of-a-kind, tricked-out skid steer that is being auctioned off on Purple Wave’s online auction block , with proceeds to benefit FFA specifically, 89 percent of the proceeds going to the National FFA Foundation, 10 percent going to the winning bidder’s state association and 1 percent going to a local chapter of the winner’s choice. The “Red Power” online auction goes through September 30.

“Red Power” has been in the making for quite some time. When Case IH first came to me with the idea more than a year ago, I was excited to help design such an amazing piece of machinery. Our idea for the skid steer was to take everything over the top, creating a unit that would wow the crowd with a Case IH theme.

Wow factors for the “Red Power” skid steer include:

  • Dual chrome exhaust stacks
  • Custom, eight-spoke-pattern wheels with chrome center caps and lugs
  • Tinted cab windows
  • Custom, red leather seat

Red LED lighting illuminates the skid steer’s undercarriage, rear add-on counterweights, operator compartment and loader arm. The cab also features indirect LED lighting and LED spots in the air-conditioning vents. The custom Case IH-red paint job, along with a unique “Red Power” decal package made specifically for the skid steer, provides the finishing touch for a complete Case IH look. This skid steer is totally decked out!

From the beginning, one of the goals of this project was to do something good with it.  Choosing FFA to receive the proceeds from the sale of “Red Power” was obvious because of the strong and ongoing relationship between the two organizations. Out of the proceeds, 89 percent will go to the National FFA Foundation; 10 percent will go to the state FFA association where the winning bidder lives; and 1 percent will to go to a local chapter of the buyer’s choice.

How cool is that–your hometown chapter could receive a part of these earnings as well! We invite FFA members and supporters to spread the word of this auction to prospective bidders in your community, such as Case IH enthusiasts, local FFA supporters and/or equipment collectors.

I am honored to help design such an amazing product and be a part of a great sponsorship opportunity between two outstanding organizations.
